At Poinsett Animal Hospital, we absolutely love caring for both dogs and cats.  However, we give a special acknowledgement to cats because we often feel that they don’t get the attention they deserve!

Cats are now the most popular pet in America, but receive less vet care than their canine counterparts.  There are many reasons cat owners may not bring their furry felines to the vet as frequently as their dogs.  One is that cats are very good at hiding pain and illnesses from us, which means it's even more important for them to come for routine examinations!

We strongly recommend  annual check-ups in all cats to ensure their well-being.  Conditions such dental disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and weight issues are much easier to manage if they are caught early. The below video shows some tricks to make your cat’s visit to us as stress-free as possible.  All of our staff enjoy talking about cat care. Please call us any time if you have any questions or concerns.
